Harold W. Kollmeyer collection, 1910-1982 1930-1977.

MS 2000-28 consists of forestry materials originating from Harold Kollmeyer, who worked for the Michigan Department of Conservation (predecessor agency of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources). The material dates 1910-1982 (the bulk of the material dates 1930-1977). Of special interest in this collection is a booklet of Oscar Warbach cartoons. The inventory tables and the reports all deal with forest production. The collection also includes photocopies of photographs that document staff at outdoor conferences and in the field. The folder on the Wyman School details the history of the Wyman School of the Woods, which was incorporated in 1911, and trained students to become foresters in a two-year course.
